A promising look in the future.
I included this ep on a list of mine a few months back (cause I want to hehe) without actually knowing or listening to it at all. So some months later, some casual chat in discord, then some people started mentioning Fax Gang. So, with full curiousity (and some help from the peeps there), I managed to give this ep a listen, how did it go?
I quite liked it for the most part, solid rapping from PK Shellboy, some cute pristine synth touches and trap beats here and there while most of the tracks are enveloped with this crushing and obscure atmosphere and vocal anime samples (at least I think it is) that are filtered to make them sound rather obscure.
However, I did have some nitpicks when it comes to the consistency of the production (the rather familiar rhythms and the 'anime' breakdown on Breathe2, the safe and bass reliant Soaked) and a bit of PK Shellboys rap flow (a little bit on Jailbroken, and especially Soaked, which I find a bit unflattering and just plain silly).
Though overall, it is quite enjoyable, and there is promise on how Fax Gang will push the sound in their next output. Yeah, I'm on board!
