Tasteful, yet milktoast hymns.
Besides the opener and some tracks that offer a bit of variance in its instrumentation, I'm just indifferent with this album as a whole. The lyrics are generally well written, but most of my problems with the album just comes with the bloated and lengthy tracks that could've used some tightness, the vocals that just does not deliver a sense of dramatic swell, the tracks feeling a bit too uniformed with its tempo and its instrumentation, and the melodies just not sticking as much as I wanted it to.
It's okay for the most part, but I would just listen to 'The Bends' rather than this one, sadly.
