Tempered aggression.
This could've been better. Because as much as there are good elements here, these elements also have their downsides as well.
The vocals remind me of MC Ride, but I think it sounds quite silly at spots and it's not as visceral as I would like. The melodies are quite slow at spots and does have some great hooks, but are hampered with sudden transitions, abrupt endings and odd melodic structures that feels cluttered. The production is quite claustrophobic and have some great instrumentation, but the vocal mixing feel a bit pushed back, and there some guitar tunings that don't really flatter the songs. And the lyrics, as much as it does paint some good spots of violent moments, why does the structure come off as clunky and a bit abstract?
Again, good moments here and there, but each good moment here is pulled down by it's downsides that just makes this project just overall decent.
