Blissful dullness.
This brand of Free Improvisation is something that I admire but felt underwhelmed overall. All tracks do flow together with the vibraphone that plays in all of the tracks, with some marimba sliding through on some songs on the back half. But all throughout the album, I was underwhelmed by how this drags, how the tone tries to feel mystical at the core but ends up feeling hollow, and how the melodies just did not grab me in the long run.
It's blissful, but the bliss is overshadowed by the dullness that comes with it.
