A bit languid, but still a potent release by Madlib.
Madlib, with the help of Four Tet, managed to create something special with this release. Collection of samples overlayed with warm and calming instrumentals that sure are well produced, well textured. Though the album can feel languid at spots, where the instrumentals just coast off and don't build up too much, sticking to that meditative vibe even if it doesn't detract from how good it sounds. But with the tracks not reaching beyond the 3-minute mark, I just wished there's a bit more.
But again, it's still quite special, and there are tracks that are worth returning, just wished there's a bit more risk in this.
