A capture of everyday life.
Under this 30 minute album, Claire Rousay creates everyday moments out of textured recordings of water, chitter-chatter, wrapping paper, and other sorts of materials layered with ambient synths and string instruments to further emphasize the organic in an ASMR type fashion. The problem is that when the vocals are added with these autotune filters, or that some instrumentals and sound recordings don't clump together, it takes out that organic, softer atmosphere that this album is clearly trying to do which is a shame because the album does its thing pretty well, it's dampened when these synthetic elements and awkward blending slide in for some of the songs.
It is still an enjoyable record and I do find it endearing, just that some elements just didn't worked for me that much.
